It’s hot and you’re longing for all those refreshing snowy nights and that jubilant Christmas feeling? Chill out - you can still celebrate with Christmas in July!
According to the some other sources Yulefest is attributed to a group of Irishmen who traveled to Australia in July, and were shocked by the wintry weather. Others suggest that the first summertime Christmas took place at a summer camp in South Carolina in 1933. Meanwhile users of Urban Dictionary consider it to just be another marketing gimmick. Whenever it started, there's no time like the present to spread that holiday feeling regardless of the weather!
Decorations
Willing to embrace this unusual trend but have no idea of how to decorate? As we all know the Christmas tree is the main symbol of the holiday, why not fool around a little with a beach-themed Noel. We suggest you beautify your Yulefest tree from top to bottom with our decorative seashells and nautical fairy lights. Although if you're more traditional green and red ornaments paired with mesmerizing string lights will still captivate your friends.
If you’re kind of crafty, cover our seashells with glitter or even transform them into adorable Santas or reindeers. Alternatively, you can go even further and Chrisma-fy … a pineapple.
Another summer addition to your Christmas decor could be using your old flip-flops and our LED clips to make beach-inspired garlands, or making a snowman out of sand from our store.
To go along with some of these unusual inspirations, we can offer you a plethora of red and green party supplies, such as linens, chair covers, pom pom balls, lanterns, and other accessories.
Foods & Drinks
Not crazy about heavy Christmas turkey on a hot summer day? Not to worry, July gives tons of opportunities to surprise your guests with a summertime twist. For example, no party would ever go without a veggie platter, try yours in a Christmas tree shape with carrots, broccoli, and tomatoes. Or for little effort a refreshing fruit plate of juicy watermelons carved into mini Christmas trees.
Another simple dessert idea are Mini Santa hats out of strawberries and whipped cream. But if you want something with more wow factor try baking sugar cookies with a Santa’s beach vacation theme. This’ll be sure to win your guests heart! All your dishes will look dashing on our dinnerware.
No matter how many blissful appetizers you come up with, it’s still summer and your guests need to be hydrated. As your invitees arrive, treat them to a red-white-green Coladas served in our adorable glasses and amuse them with “Reindeer Juice” throughout the party.
Last but not least, a “snowball” fight with white water balloons will not just get those kids up and going, but will also leave your friends and family buzzing for a long time.
Happy Celebrating!
