May 13 is approaching fast, but there’s still time to plan the perfect day for Mom! The woman who does so much for her children, especially on their wedding days, deserves the very best. Why not set up a surprise for your Mom this Mother’s Day!
Breakfast in Bed for Adults. Bring Mom breakfast in bed, but not in the messy way you would as a child. You can surprise even the earliest of risers by waiting until Mom leaves the room. Then lay out a gorgeous spread on her bed and surprise her when she returns to the room. Spread a tablecloth over her bed and set up a nice, light platter with her breakfast. Complete the setting with the linen napkins, a dish of oven baked French toast that you prepare the night before, and a centerpiece with artificial silk flowers she can keep!
Mother’s Tea Party. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give mom is an hour of your time. Make a date for an extended tea or lunch party with the females of the family. Enjoy the warm weather by surprising her with a backyard party. A tablecloth and chair sashes will go a long way to making the weather worn deck or porch table look fabulous for the fancy occasion.
