Last Minute Patriotic Veterans Day Table Decorations

Since any table decor starts with picking linens to lay the foundation for the tablescape, selecting table linens right off the bat made perfect sense. Because we wanted to imbue a super-patriotic vibe into our Veterans Day decorations, choosing table linens that strike a perfect balance of red, blue, and white hues was definitely our preference. However, effortlessly incorporating all three colors without making the table look gaudy can be pretty challenging. When in doubt, you can always bet on our buffalo plaid table linens to ingeniously blend in various hues for a chic yet suave appeal. Thus, we have swathed a navy blue and white buffalo plaid tablecloth over our table stylishly pairing it with a red table runner. The red polyester table runner not only coupled beautifully with the navy blue and white checkered polyester tablecloth but also gracefully elevated the look of our tablescape blending in all the patriotic colors. As soon as our table linens were in place, we moved to the chair decorations. Since we were in search of a quick yet charming way to dress up our plain and boring chairs, we didn’t look any further than our stretchable spandex chair cover collection. Hence, we have covered the chairs using our white spandex chair covers that have given a sleek and classy finish to the dining table chairs. Moreover, we have also adorned the chair backs with our red pre-tied bow tie chair bands that have instantly added an exquisite and refined look to the chairs. Hugging the chair backs perfectly thanks to their stretchable fit, these lustrous satin & faux leather chair bands with rhinestone chair sash buckles added that much needed dazzling touch to our Veterans Day table set up.

Table Settings

Once the basics were done, next on the agenda were the place settings. Since we wanted to play around the set color scheme, we settled on using our red beaded charger plates with red and gold design rimmed white dinner plates on top which matched with the vibrant red table runner offsetting the navy blue and white tablecloth underneath. (You can also opt for the royal blue rimmed white dinner plates for a more pronounced contrast of colors) When it came to choosing linen napkins for our Veterans Day table setting, we couldn’t decide on any one color out of the three patriotic hues. So we ended up placing the white, red, and navy blue polyester napkins on alternate place settings. Furthermore, instead of using napkin rings to accessorize our linen napkins, we have adorned them with some bunched up royal blue, red, and white small rosebud flowers which have added a gorgeous floral note and a riveting counterpoint to our settings. Whereas, our red and gold ombre design silverware and red-colored stem goblets have beautifully tied the table settings together.

Centerpiece Decorations

Because there is nothing more charming than a bunch of flowers gracing the tablescape, we decided to display a lush floral arrangement right in the center of the table to accentuate our Veterans Day table decorations. Thus, we have creatively bedecked a white washed wooden planter box using our luscious red silk hydrangea flower bunches and artificial white peonies with a few navy blue colored silk baby breaths flower stems sticking out of the arrangement. The lovely colored artificial flowers have further highlighted the patriotic flag colors while the white wooden decorative planter has brought a sylvan charm to our Veterans Day table display as you can see in the setup video! You can also use red poppy flowers for your Veterans Day centerpieces to honor and pay tribute to the soldiers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. In order to add a shimmering glow to the tablescape, we have also randomly placed red glittered LED candles on the runner to elegantly cap off our tabletop decorations.

Additional Decorations

Although any neutral-colored wall would have served as the perfect backdrop for this vibrant tablescape, we thought it would be nice to add a bit of texture to elevate our aesthetics to the next level. Thus, we placed our bets on our peel and stick white foam brick tiles to effortlessly revamp our dining room walls, and it worked out perfectly! Emulating the texture of untreated stone, these foam brick panels with self-adhesive backing were extremely easy to install and imparted a sophisticated appeal.
