Putting together a simple succulent arrangement is a breeze, all you need are the following:
- Choose from our wide selection of succulents
- A container of some sort: glass bowls, wooden planter boxes, jars, terrariums
- A base layer to fill out the bottom of the container: decorative sand, gravel, dirt/soil
- Some color/decor accents to scatter around: sea shells, mini ice, colored pebbles
1). For your gardening or arrangement pleasure, we offer a wide selection of succulents, including some truly unique styles, such as aloe vera, mini cactus, echeveria, kalanchoe, and stonecrop! There’s no wrong choice here, as our artificial succulent plants are not only realistic to look upon, but just as convincing to the touch as well! Each blade of the succulent plant is flexible and life-like to the touch, often putting in doubt whether these are real or not! When choosing the succulent style, consider whether you wish to display opposing sizes/shapes, or if they should be similar. The coloration of the succulent should also play a factor in your decision. You want the color accents to be similar in order to match and complement each other when placed so closely together. |

2). Next, we’ll choose the container. As this piece of the puzzle is what wraps your succulent arrangement together, it’s important to choose one that will bring out the tone that you want to convey. Efavormart.com offers plenty of selection when picking out the perfect container. I’ve chosen to use our glass bowls since I’ve opted to include some accents within the arrangement, but you can decide to utilize our wooden planter boxes, or our more distinctively shaped jars and terrariums. 3). Once you have picked out that container you’d like to use, you can move on to filling the bottom of the container with the base layer. Now, the bottom layer can be covered by our decorative sand, or dirt/soil from your local hardware store, maybe even from your own backyard! I’ve chosen our Tan 1 Pound Decorative Colored Sand to simulate a beachy, sandy look, but you can choose the color that fits your vision! After pouring the base layer into the container, be sure to hold both sides and give it some light rocking back and forth to ensure an even spread, so that no one side gets too much or too little. |

4). Now, we can work on positioning by placing the succulent onto the base layer. Placement is critical to the display, it should be staggered and laid out evenly out throughout the bowl. When placing towards the center of the bowl, each succulent’s distance from the edges should be similar, as this will give the arrangement a balanced composition. Some of our succulents do come in little pots, but they can be separated easily with just a light pull upwards. Also, if there are protruding stems on the bottom of the succulent bulbs, they can easily be pulled out as well, or even cut off with a scissor. The number of succulents you use will depend on the size of the container. For larger containers, such as our large glass bowl, or 24x6” Wood Planter Box you can allow for a few more without looking too crowded! |

5). Last but not least, we’ll work on placing the color/décor accents around the arrangement. Our sea shells, mini ice, or some colored pebbles from the beach/backyard will do nicely. Similar to succulent placement, the accents should be placed evenly around the container. Don’t over-decorate any one area, and be sure the accents are placed with balance in mind. |
6). Voila, the finished product! A quick and simple way to put together an artificial succulent arrangement that brightens up any room it’s put in, and requires absolutely zero maintenance. Remember, there’s really no wrong way to create your arrangement. You can choose to be conservative, with balanced placement and complementary colors, or throw out all the rules with off-centered placement, and eye-catching, bright color accents - whichever way you choose, don't forget to complement our succulents with our table and ceiling decoration products! The most important aspect of this project is to inject your unique touch into the arrangement to give it its own personality. What do you think about how our succulent arrangement turned out? If you have any succulent arrangement idea you'd like to share, please let us know! We'd like to hear your feedback! |
